「DJ OKAWARI」という名前は、常に満足することなく、常に新たなものを模索し、常に挑戦し続けるところに由来する。
2008年5月28日にデビューアルバム「DIORAMA」をリリース。
ジャジーでムーディーでエレガント、キラキラしたセンチメンタルなインスト・ヒップホップに加え、
女性シンガーやピアニストもフィーチャーし、より華麗に、美しく、そしてあでやかに仕上げられたこのアルバムは、
リスニング・ミュージックとして昇華されたヒップホップの新たな指針として、幅広く好評を博している。
